Our Lady of Lourdes Trust
St Patrick's Catholic Primary School is part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.
God Our Father,
Give us strength so that, guided by Our Lady’s example,
we can have the courage to say yes to you.
Help us to love like she loved, have faith like she had
and follow Jesus’ example in all that we do.
Inspire in all of us a sense of togetherness, so that we can use
the gifts you have given us for the good of all in our community
and bring support and healing to those less fortunate than ourselves.
We ask Our Lady to guide us, just as she guided St Bernadette,
as we seek to bring Jesus’ message of love
and forgiveness to others.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, Our Lord.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
St Patrick’s is a joyful community where everyone feels welcome, valued and respected.
Our children are at the heart of every decision we make as we want them to be happy, safe and able to learn. We provide opportunities that are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
Relationships are at the very heart of all we do. We are passionate about providing pupils’ with responsibility learning behaviours so that they feel empowered to develop life skills such as confidence, reliance and collaboration.
We are very proud of everyone in our St Patrick’s school parish community. Our children shine in their love for each, based upon the Gospel message of ‘Loving god and your neighbour as you love yourself’. Pupils show a desire to learn and are dedicated, passionate and hard working. We aspire to the highest standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the Parish community and other local schools. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we value your contributions and support- Together we achieve More!
The Catholic life of the school underpins everything else at St Patrick’s. Everyday, we live out our vocation which shines out through high quality RE teaching, a strong Chaplaincy Team, child-led collective worship and our school parish mission to look after those in the parish and wider community. We encourage everyone to ‘let their lights shine brightly’ in all they say and do.
As a catholic school we have a duty to ensure that students have the opportunity to take part in Child led liturgies which celebrate the liturgical calendar of the church. This achieved by collective worship, school and parish masses, class liturgies and penitential services. This enables students to be actively engaged in worship, listening and responding to the word of God. Pupils take ownership of liturgies by using their gifts and talents to serve God, through song, dance, music, buddying, ICT and preparation of the Altar.
Our Parish Priest, Fr Paul, assisted by his parishioners, are regular visitors to school celebrating Mass, meeting with the children and gathering together in Time out to worship.
We are always very happy to welcome visits from prospective families. This is the best way to meet the children and staff, feel the school’s warm, family atmosphere and experience the Catholic ethos which is at the heart of everything we do.
‘And this is the confidence that we have toward Him- that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us’.
