TEAMS Learning Platform

OLoL CMAT schools are now fully open to all pupils and operating a full timetable of lessons.

Should any pupil test positive for Covid St. Patrick’s will provide any work via Teams but not on-line if the pupil is unwell. Should any pupil be off for a period of isolation with or without Covid but are fit and well, parents may contact the school to request access to ‘on-line’ lessons; it will be at the discretion of St Patrick’s as to the number and frequency of on-line lessons that can be provided during the pupil’s absence.

In the case of any future lockdowns, where St Patrick’s  is required to fully or partially close, staff will revert to the timetable as set out in this Remote Learning Protocol/Policy.

BBC Bitesize – Additional Home Learning Resources

From the 20th April, you’ll be able to access regular daily lessons in English and Maths, as well as other core subjects, in an expanded version of our website and also on special programmes broadcast on BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button.

BBC iPlayer and the Red Button service will host Bitesize Daily. These are six different 20 minute shows, each designed to target a specific age group, from ages five to 14, and for pupils throughout the UK. Experts and teachers will be involved, covering what should be learned that day for the different year groups and key stages. Maths, Science and English will be covered in dedicated programmes, and other subjects such as History, Geography, Music and Art will also be covered.

The Notts School Games Organiser Network and Active Notts are working together to create and publish a weekly programme of activities to help schools to support parents and carers to maintain an active routine for children and young people whilst at home or when socially distancing in essential care. We will aim to send this weekly resource to schools on a Thursday or Friday to allow time for circulation before the following Monday. The resource will give ideas on how to be physically active with a different sport theme for 30 minutes each day (Monday – Friday). Each pack contains a schedule of suggested activity challenges for the week and daily activity cards. The weekly activities will be sport themed and include golf, football, tennis, orienteering, athletics, cricket, gymnastics, boccia, netball and badminton. All activities have been developed so everyone can have a go using equipment found in the home and in whatever space you have available. Within the resource parents and carers will be directed to additional resources to give additional ideas on how to the full 60 minutes of daily physical activity.
